In corpore” is a reflection yellow valium on a topic very interesting to me: the human body, how it is perceived and received today.Today the body itself is mere rapresentation, a questionable reality. We are in the era of genetic engineering, cloning, coding genome. It is a time of physical, corporal manipulation.

Plastic surgery is affordable for anyone who wants to submit it, and it doesn’t make scandal anymore to see bodies rebuilt, with unnatural but satisfying proportions models that the media presented as an ideal of beauty to pursue.

The human body too has become “product” for the requirements of the “Society of the Spectacle.”

At the same time, it is no longer a limiting physical, to the individuality and his act. Internet has broken down these boundaries.

The project “In corpore” explores some of the issues mentioned above, paying attention to topics that has always been part of my research.

In corpore” draws inspiration from the aspects I have mentioned, in an attempt to propose a different view of the body, or at least a more careful evaluation of the reasons and consequences of this attitude.

Of course in the images in question are included other elements, influences that address matters that have always been part of my research: the concept of identity, the alchemical tradition and the plastic beauty of the human form.

The basic questions, to me, are always the same: “Who am I?”, “What is my body?”, “Where do I begin and where I end up as an individual? My body is an object that I have and determines what is it? “.
