Si terrà a Cosio D’Arroscia dal 25 settembre al 3 ottobre la seconda parte del laboratorio internazionale di arti TRASFORMATORIO, giunto alla 6a edizione, e all’esordio nel territorio Ligure.

Mose’ Previti CRITICO d’ARTE e la partecipazione della crew di volontari di trasformatorio a Cosio d’Arroscia

Organizzato dalla fondazione omonima con sede in Olanda, Trasformatorio promuove e produce lo studio delle arti specifiche e multimediali in situ, affinchè raccolgano e promuovano idee e concetti nuovi per la cura, a mezzo dell’arte, dei territori remoti. Ma non solo, la tecnologia, usata dall’arte in questa ottica di taumaturgia territoriale coglie spesso spunti per nuove applicazioni, più a misura d’uomo, che siano utili per la conoscenza degli ecosistemi e il rispetto della natura. La nostra idea è che partendo dalla metodologia delle arti contemporanee e dai territori si possa contribuire alla reinvenzione delle aree remote e alla loro rinascita economica e sociale.

Anche con un occhio alla natura e alla fragile morfologia del territorio, agli artisti in collaborazione con SIGEA (Societa’ Italiana di Geologia Ambientale) (https://www.sigeaweb.it/)] verrà offerta una esplorazione guidata del patrimonio geologico aperta a tutti il giorno 25. Conosceremo qualcosa di Cosio anche dal punto di vista geomorfologico e paleogeologico.

Cosio D’Arroscia, borgo delle Alpi Liguri, in provincia di Imperia, già famoso per avere nel 1957 dato i natali all’Internazionale Situazionista, ospiterà il gruppo di artisti intenti alla ricerca di nuovi mezzi e metodi di espressione artistica a partire dal territorio e dal suo paesaggio interiore ed esteriore. Dalle vie delle erbe, ai sentieri, all’arredo urbano, ai ricordi dei vecchi e nuovi abitanti, i suoni, i colori e gli odori, tutto diventerà materiale per la sensibilità artistica dei partecipanti ed essere trasformato di nuovo in idee e suggestioni da riportare nella loro produzione futura.

La prima parte del laboratorio, tenutasi a Maggio in pieno lockdown e’ stata in absentia: le attività hanno approfittato di ogni possibilità di interazione (anche emozionale) offerta dalla comunicazione mediata dalla tecnologia e dalla fantasia degli artisti e gli abitanti di Cosio senza la presenza degli artisti.
Ora che il gruppo si avvicina al territorio, per percorrerlo con i corpi e i sensi aperti e trarne ispirazione, la curiosità reciproca, di abitanti e artisti, è alle stelle.

Continueremo a parlare dell’importanza della situazione e dell’arte da fare attraversandola, come abbiamo fatto durante le “conferenze degli uccelli“, momenti di approfondimento teorico curati dagli artisti partecipanti e gia’ pubblicate online.

Indagheremo la risonanza della vacuità con un laboratorio spirituale dove praticanti buddiste e un filosofo scettico presentano alcune teorie, esplorano diverse pratiche e dialogano con i presenti e con gli ascoltatori, in remoto, per scoprire cosa potrebbe significare tutto questo qui e ora.

Giocheremo Le Grand Jeu (http://legrandjeu.net/): un gioco nato dalla collaborazione tra un filosofo/artista ed un ingegnere/designer che discutevano animatamente di democrazia, permacultura ed economia alternativa. Lo scopo del gioco è la ricerca di narrative positive basate sul concetto “pensiero globale, azione locale”.
Il gioco consiste di alcuni pezzi di base sui quali è possibile costruire qualsiasi tipo di attività, società, ed economia. Le regole del gioco sono ampie e semplici allo stesso tempo consentendo molta libertà creativa ai giocatori i quali costruiscono giocando il loro mondo, le loro dinamiche e le loro stesse regole di vittoria.

La sera del giorno Giovedi’ 30 si ripetera’, con gli artisti presenti, una performance sonora e una vera e propria “Deriva” per le stradine del borgo, con il contributo aperto ad artisti da ogni luogo del mondo, a cui tutti sono invitati a partecipare, sia in presenza che in assenza del corpo. Questa serata sara’ in collaborazione con “radio antidoto” (www.radioantidoto.org) un progetto di radio di comunita’ nato durante il COVID e tutt’ora attivissimo nella produzione artistica a mezzo sonoro e intermediale.

Una ulteriore giornata di presentazione attiva dei risultati del laboratorio in entrambe le edizioni, aperta al pubblico e curata dalla direzione artistica di Federico Bonelli, è prevista per sabato 2 Ottobre a Cosio d’Arroscia.

L’iniziativa, preparata per mesi e con frequenti contatti tra artisti e cittadini, è co-prodotta dalla Fondazione Trasformatorio e dalla Comunità di Cosio per tramite della Pro-Loco e del Comune.

The second part of the TRANSFORMATORIO international arts laboratory, now in its 6th edition, and its debut in the Ligurian territory, will be held in Cosio D’Arroscia from 25 September to 3 October.

Organized by the foundation of the same name based in the Netherlands, Trasformatorio promotes and produces the study of specific and multimedia arts in situ, so that they collect and promote new ideas and concepts for the care, by means of art, of remote territories.

But not only that, the technology used by art in this perspective of territorial thaumaturgy often captures ideas for new applications, more on a human scale, which are useful for the knowledge of ecosystems and respect for nature. Our idea is that starting from the methodology of contemporary arts and territories we can contribute to the reinvention of remote areas and their economic and social rebirth.

Even with an eye to nature and the fragile morphology of the territory, the artists in collaboration with SIGEA (Italian Society of Environmental Geology) (https://www.sigeaweb.it/)] will be offered a guided exploration of the geological heritage open to all on day 25. We will know something about Cosio also from the geomorphological and paleogeological point of view.

Cosio D’Arroscia, a village in the Ligurian Alps, in the province of Imperia, already famous for being the birthplace of the Situationist International in 1957, will host the group of artists intent on searching for new means and methods of artistic expression starting from the territory and from its interior and exterior landscape. From the ways of herbs, to the paths, to the street furniture, to the memories of the old and new inhabitants, the sounds, the colors and the smells, everything will become material for the artistic sensitivity of the participants and be transformed again into ideas and suggestions to be brought back in their future production.

The first part of the workshop, held in May in full lockdown, was in absentia: the activities took advantage of every possibility of interaction (even emotional) offered by communication mediated by technology and by the imagination of the artists and inhabitants of Cosio without the presence of the artists. Now that the group approaches the territory, to explore it with open bodies and senses and draw inspiration from it, the mutual curiosity of inhabitants and artists is skyrocketing.

We will investigate the resonance of emptiness with a spiritual laboratory where Buddhist practitioners and a skeptical philosopher present some theories, explore different practices and converse with those present and listeners, remotely, to find out what all this could mean here and now.

We will play Le Grand Jeu(http://legrandjeu.net/): a game born from the collaboration between a philosopher / artist and an engineer / designer who animatedly discussed democracy, permaculture and alternative economy. The aim of the game is the search for positive narratives based on the concept of “global thinking, local action”. The game consists of a few basic pieces on which any type of business, society, and economy can be built. The rules of the game are broad and simple at the same time allowing a lot of creative freedom to the players who build their world, their dynamics and their own rules of victory by playing.

On the evening of the day Thursday ’30 will be repeated, with the artists present, a sound performance and a real “Drift” through the streets of the village, with the contribution open to artists from all over the world, to which everyone is invited to participate, both in the presence and absence of the body.

This evening will be in collaboration with “radio antidote” (www.radioantidoto.org) a community radio project born during the COVID and still very active in the artistic production by means of sound and media.

A further day of active presentation of the laboratory results in both editions, open to the public and curated by the artistic direction of Federico Bonelli, is scheduled for Saturday 2 October in Cosio d’Arroscia.

The initiative, prepared for months and with frequent contacts between artists and citizens, is co-produced by the Transformatory Foundation and the Community of Cosio through the Pro-Loco and the Municipality.
