Cosio d’Arroscia has been the theater of Trasformatorio dual intervention in 2021. Trasformatorio has been active in listening to Cosio, her people, her environment, her imagination. Arts have been functional to foster the dream of Cosio.

As a follow up we decided to continue helping Cosio inhabitants to find sustainable ways to sustain their dream, that works on various levels: costruction of a bridge between the past and the present of the village and imagine the village future.

13 February 2022: a meeting in Cosio

“Living in Cosio is a Medium-term residence program for remote workers. It imagines the recovery and reinterpretation of the historic center through contemporary art, area entertainment program 22-23. Cosio’s dream is to be repopulated, to rebuild a connection between its past and a future in which it continues to exist, to be lived, transformed and remembered, also and above all through those who live there and take care of it.

The meeting is to find together practical ways to achieve this goal and then form a nucleus of forces that will deal with it. We also want to talk about the upcoming on-site cultural activities designed in the wake of last year’s workshop and how to support them.

All participants will be an active part of the initiative, so being there is essential to start the second transformation. We will put at your disposal what we know and our networks of contacts on which to elaborate concrete proposals.

At the end of the study day there will be a short presentation of the work done.

Dal sogno all’azione: vivere a Cosio
Residenze di medio termine per lavoratori da remoto, recupero e reinterpretazione del centro storico tramite l’arte contemporanea, programma di animazione d’area 22-23.

Il sogno di Cosio è di essere ripopolata, di ricostruire una connessione tra il suo passato ed un futuro in cui continui ad esistere, di essere vissuta, trasformata e ricordata, anche e soprattutto tramite chi ci vive e se ne prende cura.L’incontro è per trovare insieme modi pratici di raggiungere questo obbiettivo e formare poi un nucleo di forze che se ne occuperà. Desideriamo anche parlare delle prossime attività culturali in loco pensate sulla scia del laboratorio dell’anno scorso e su come sostenerle. Tutti i partecipanti saranno parte attiva dell’iniziativa, per cui esserci è fondamentale per far partire la seconda trasformazione. Noi metteremo a vostra disposizione ciò che sappiamo e le nostre reti di contatti su cui elaborare proposte concrete.

Al termine della giornata di studio è prevista una breve presentazione del lavoro fatto.
